Interfurn has a team of qualified engineers, experienced in the design and implementation of operating theatre suites, from conventional operating rooms to hybrid operating theatres.
We work with you from concept to installation to deliver the optimum solution for any type of operating room (OR) or clean room environment. This process takes into account the air movement and pressure regimes to accommodate the type of room or space under development.
All rooms are designed with full consideration of all aspects of ventilation regimes including the full theatre suite and ancillary rooms and corridors. Our forward thinking and innovative team consider the latest technology, combined with the most cost effective solutions to give added value to your design, as a whole.
Design & Planning
As part of our design service, we would typically look at your existing facilities to establish whether they comply with current regulations and if any existing equipment or plant may be upgraded or utilised in the project. We consider current performance against design criteria.
According to your specification and requirements, we will provide layout drawings and schematics, along with a provisional project schedule. Working closely with you, and your chosen specialist suppliers (if applicable), we will develop a more detailed design and supply you with a fixed price quotation.
As part of your project feasibility study, we offer to undertake an initial site survey or design plan review. We then develop a layout proposal and produce budgetary pricing for your consideration.
Survey & Condition Reports
Interfurn offer survey and condition reports, not just for our own UCV solutions, but for any manufacturers’ ultra clean ventilation equipment and air handling systems. Our comprehensive independent and impartial survey will include a full analysis of current situation and a review of existing pressure regimes & airflow rates. We will also make recommendations for any necessary changes, or areas for improvement.
The survey will include:
- Site visit to validate and check the UCV canopy performance in ultra clean theatres; clinical procedure rooms; conventional theatres in accordance with HTM 03-01 / HTM 2025 guidelines
- Ventilation measurements
- Pressure regime measurements
- 2m velocity tests
- 1m Velocity Tests
- Noise level tests
- Light level readings
- Formal report
Sample reports are available on request.
